THE STORIES OF THE VILLAINIZED AND MISUNDERSTOOD
Living Conservation
RE-THINKING ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
Growing up in a family of conservationists, learning to appreciate, respect, and use natural resources. I discovered that conservation careers often face misconceptions in the public eye, with little awareness of the realities of natural resource management.
Living Conservation aimed to address one question: How can we educate and inspire support for conservation among those unfamiliar with the field? Making a human connection backed by scientific research.
Living Conservations explores the villainized and misunderstood occupations within the world of conservation. Telling the stories of individuals whose livelihood is dependent on natural resources. Exploring five key industries within the conservation world: Commercial Fishing, Hunting, Ranching, Forestry, and Range Management. Each category is represented by a world-class example of what it means to be a conservationist in their industry.
